The Hotel Theory is the belief that where you stay matters just as much as where you go.
Most people think of a hotel as a place to return to after the real experiences of a trip. Wake up early. Stay out all day. See more. Do more. Move faster. Somewhere along the way, we started treating hotels as little more than a place to sleep between activities.
The Hotel Theory exists to challenge that idea.
I firmly believe that some of the most meaningful moments of a journey happen when we're not checking attractions off a list. They happen in the places that make you slow down, the ones that feel effortless to inhabit, that have warmth and character, and that make leaving feel optional.
These are the hotels I look for. And this is where I share them.
