Six Senses Zil Pasyon

Félicité Island, Seychelles

Félicité is not the Seychelles most people picture. It's a genuinely private island, not the kind that shares a lagoon with twelve other resorts — with dramatic granite boulders, coral reefs you can swim to from the shore, and just 30 villas hidden so well in the landscape that the island barely looks inhabited.

Six Senses Zil Pasyon could have built a conventional luxury resort here. Instead, they built something that feels like it belongs to the island rather than the other way around. That choice is exactly why it's here.

The Property

Zil Pasyon occupies the northern tip of Félicité, one of the inner islands of the Seychelles. The setting is dramatic: massive granite rocks frame white-sand beaches, and the vegetation is dense enough that you can walk the island's trails and feel genuinely far from anything. The resort has committed to rewilding the island — eradicating invasive species and replanting endemic flora so that birds and marine life return naturally. It shows.

There are 28 one-bedroom villas, 2 two-bedroom villas, and 3 private residences, all positioned to maximise privacy and ocean views. Every villa has a private infinity pool. Six dining venues range from all-day casual to a seafood-focused restaurant sourcing directly from local fishermen. The Six Senses Spa is built into the landscape and offers the kind of treatments that make leaving feel genuinely difficult.

Why It's Here

I feel Zil Pasyon is one of the few hotels where the property and the place feel genuinely inseparable. Félicité isn't a backdrop, it's the point. The fact that Six Senses has spent years rewilding the island rather than manicuring it into submission tells you everything about what kind of stay this is.

Twenty-eight villas. No crowds. Coral reefs you can reach without getting on a boat. An island small enough that you'll know every corner of it by day two.

The Rooms

All accommodations are private pool villas. Here's how they break down:

Hideaway Pool Villa — the most secluded option, surrounded by dense vegetation with garden views. If privacy over panorama is your priority, this is it.

Panorama Pool Villa — positioned high on the resort with sweeping views across the surrounding islands. The one I'd book.

Oceanfront Pool Villa — closer to the water, with direct ocean views and the sound of waves from the villa. More immediate, less elevated.

Pasyon Pool Villa — similar positioning to the Panorama, accommodates up to four guests.

Signature Pool Villa — the most spacious of the one-bedroom villas, facing sunset. For those who want more room to breathe.

Two-Bedroom Pool Villa / Signature Two-Bedroom — ideal for families or two couples. The Signature version sits closer to the beach with a sunset-facing position.

Residences (Seascape, The Sanctuary, Ocean Sounds) — three and four-bedroom private residences with a dedicated chef, GEM, and service team. For those who want the island essentially to themselves.

My recommendation: The Panorama Pool Villa — the elevated position and views of the surrounding islands make it the version of Zil Pasyon that feels most true to where you actually are.

Ideal For

Couples looking for a genuine escape. Honeymooners. Anyone who believes that sometimes the destination is the hotel. Travelers who want to feel truly remote without sacrificing comfort.

Not ideal for those who need constant stimulation, prefer city energy, or feel uncomfortable spending a full day doing very little.
